I would just like to thank the gentlemen at Silverton Radiators [Louis Trichardt] for their help. They went the extra mile, above and beyond their normal duty.
My story is a long one, so I won’t bore you with it. I live between two places, Louis Trichardt and the Pilanesberg National Park in the North West. Therefore, I cover a fair bit of mileage.
Unfortunately, my car broke down in Hartebeespoort last August and had a recommended ‘local Harties mechanic’ fix my car. Since then, I have had terrible problems with it. I regret using his service and all that he said about not taking advantage of a woman not being completely engine mechanical wise, was completely untrue!
Anyway, I was on my way back to work in the Pilanesberg after being in Louis Trichardt when I broke down at Polokwane. I did not know whom to call, so I called Silverton for advice as they had helped me to replace my radiator pipes and had tested the radiator for me before. They very kindly dropped everything to answer a distress call, drove all the way out to Polokwane, tried to fix the problem at the side of the road, and also drove me into town to get a new part. Unfortunately, this did not work. The gentleman was very kind and offered to wait with me for the tow truck and then gave me a lift home as it was unsafe at the side of the road and it was getting late.
All I can say is that I am totally flabbergasted that this kind of service still exists today. The kindness and willingness to go the extra mile are qualities rarely found these days. I felt it necessary to say thank you publicly for the help I received from the gentlemen at Silverton. They really have been fantastic, going above and beyond their duty.
Many, many thanks for your wonderful service!
