Another tricky hurdle for Rospa United

After losing 1-2 to Ray Pillars at the Seshego Stadium in Polokwane last Saturday, Rospa United are gearing up for another tricky hurdle this weekend. They will host the skyrocketing Magezi FC at the University of Venda Stadium tomorrow afternoon. While Rospa United have only pride at stake in the match, the situation is totally different for Magezi.

It is a now-or-never situation for Magezi as they are one of the hot contenders for the league title. A defeat against Rospa United tomorrow will give the other title chasers, The Dolphins and Blue Rocks, enough breathing space, especially if they manage to win their matches this weekend.  Rospa United will pin their hopes on their leading goal scorer, Kenneth “Mabena” Lesia, for goals while their left back, Samuel “Fire” Mohloa, will be marshaling the defence. The coach of Magezi, Mr Patrick Mulaudzi, has assembled the best squad ever. Magezi are still fresh from a 3-1 victory over Mosesetjane All Stars at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.

Joe Express are leaving no stone unturned in their preparations for their home match. They will entertain Modimolle Aces at the Makwarela Stadium tomorrow. It will be time for Joe Express to console themselves after suffering a 1-2 defeat at the hands of Lephalale Young Killers at the Mogol Stadium in Lephalale. Joe Express will be without their veteran striker, Edwin “Cafu” Ramphabana, tomorrow. Ramphabana is still nursing an ankle injury which he sustained two weeks ago. During an interview Limpopo Mirror, Ramphabana stated that the injury was likely to put him out of action for the remaining part of the season.

It remains to be seen whether Phungo All Stars will rise to the occasion and beat Lephalale Young Killers, with whom they will fight for league points at the Polokwane Noordelike Rugby Stadium. The Dolphins FC will host Dynamos at the Seshego Stadium. Mighty FC and Ray Pillars will battle it out at the Peter Mokaba Athletics Stadium. Great North FC will host Blue Rocks at the Seshego Stadium.
