Defeat for Phungo

 

Phungo All Stars are fast becoming a milk cow of the Safa Second Division. They were brutally walloped 2-6 by Bellevue Winners Park at the Lulekani Stadium on Saturday. The defeat pushed Phungo deeper into the relegation quagmire and they are now in the second-last position on the log.

Joe Express could not absorb the pressure from Lephalale Young Killers and lost 1-2 at the Mogol Stadium. Although they were the first to find the net through Thembisani Nevhulamba, Joe Express lost their original cohesion and conceded two late goal.

Modimolle Aces were mercilessly beaten 0-5 by The Dolphins at the Ephraim Mohale Stadium in the only match that was played on Sunday. Blue Rocks kept their title hopes alive by beating Giyani Hotspurs 3-1 at the Nkowankowa Stadium. Rocks are now in the second position.

Dynamos failed to impress and their match against Great North FC ended in a goalless draw. Mosesetjane All Stars lost 10-3 to Magezi FC at the Peter Mokaba Athletics Stadium. Ray Pillars beat Rospa United 2-1 at the Seshego Stadium, while Basel failed to honour their fixture against Mighty FC.
