Will Black Leopards collect more points?

The affiliates of the National First Division will play their last first-round matches this weekend. After registering their first win in seven successive matches last Saturday, Black Leopards have a mountain to climb tomorrow afternoon.

They will travel to the Free State where they will play against African Warriors at the Charles Mopedi Stadium.

According to the newly appointed coach of Black Leopards, Mr Mark Harrison, his side still stands a chance of winning the league championship at the end of the season, let alone take part in the promotional play-offs. Harrison said that he was not worried about the fact that his team was in the third-last position on the log, despite collecting maximum points at the expense of FC Cape Town last weekend.

He further indicated that, now that they had found a winning combination, they will start collecting vital points at home and away in the coming matches. He reiterated the fact that he will take one match at a time.

In other NFD matches this weekend, Baroka will host the Maluti FET College at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium. The Cape Town derby between FC Cape Town and Milano United will be played at the NNK Rugby Stadium.

Royal Eagles will undertake a journey to Mpumalanga for their match against Witbank Spurs at the Puma Rugby Stadium. Lamontville Golden Arrows, who are still in mourning following their 1-5 defeat at the hands of Cape Town All Stars last weekend, will host Highlandspark at the Chatsworth Stadium in Durban.

Jomo Cosmos will take on Cape Town All Stars at the Vaal University of Technology Stadium, and Santos and Vasco da Gama will lock horns at the Athlone Stadium in Cape Town this evening.

In the only match that will be played on Sunday afternoon, Garankuwa United will host Thanda Royal Zulu at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Pretoria.
