Can Winners Park beat Vasco da Gama?

Following the draw for the Nedbank last-32 teams which was conducted at the Supersport studios two weeks ago, Bellevue Winners Park are adamant that they will beat their last-32 opponents and proceed to the last-16 stage of the prestigious competition. Winners Park are the amateur side representing Limpopo Province in the competition.

Winners Park will host the NFD side, Vasco da Gama, at the Giyani Stadium on 21 February. According to the coach of Winners Park, Mr Joel Mongalo, Vasco da Gama will be in for a big surprise if they take Winners for granted. He stressed the fact that they did not reach the last-32 stage by default, saying it was through hard work and dedication.

Mongalo further stated that playing in the Nedbank Cup did not mean they would forget about the league title. According to him, winning the Nedbank Cup will be a bonus to the team’s fans as their focus is to gain promotion to the national first division at the end of the season.

Winners Park are currently shining on top of the Limpopo Stream of the ABC Motsepe League.
