Defeat for Gogobole

Zamenkomste FC were crowned as the new champions of the Mamu Community Sport Development Easter tournament, when they beat Gogobole FC 5-4 in a penalty shoot–out, after they had played to a goalless draw at the Vhuilafuri Stadium on Sunday.

The score was not a true reflection of the match as Gogobole missed countless chances. Gogobole had their first taste of bad luck in the sixth minute, when Steven Ramalivha shot into the hands of the opponents' keeper, Mpho Muligwa, from the penalty area.

Both sides used all their substitutions to strengthen their teams, but neither side was able to pierce the defence of the other. Gogobole came close to scoring in the 56th minute, but veteran player Michael Mulaudzi shot wide with only the keeper to beat.

Victor Mulaudzi of Gogobole became the first player to receive a yellow card. Gogobole realized that it would be difficult to find the net if they continued volleying from behind and then started to cool the ball down in the middle of the park.

In the 66th minute, the lethal striker of Zamenkomste, Raymond Sinugo, missed a fortune. He shot wide with the keeper, Khongelani Baloyi, well beaten.
