Another good victory for Maweja

 

Joe Maweja started the new year with a bang. They registered their third victory in a row when they beat A1 Terrors 3-0 at the Bela Bela Sunfa Stadium on Saturday.

Walter Netshimbulu scored a brace, while the third one was scored by Zwivhuya Tshisaphungo. Maweja are moved to the ninth spot on the log, while Terrors are languishing at the bottom of the log with only one point from nine outings.

Mighty FC were the hardest hit last weekend. They were brutally walloped 4-0 by Gawula Classic at a packed Giyani Stadium.

Mosesetjane All were leading 2-0 at half time, but things turned against them later in the game and they ended up sharing the spoils with Giyani Hotspurs at the Mahwelereng Stadium. The final score was 2-2.

Bellevue Winners Park kept their title hopes alive when beat Great North FC 2-0 at the Nkowankowa Stadium. Winners Park are now in the fourth position with 18 points, seven behind Magezi FC. Great North FC are now in the second-last position on the log.

The ABC Motsepe newcomers, Nkowankowa Barcelona, could not absorb the pressure from Magezi FC. Although they were the first to find the net, Barcelona finally lost 1-3 to the log leaders.

The Polokwane derby between Polokwane United and Polokwane Academy at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium ended in a 3-3 draw.

Boyne Tigers lost 1-2 to Lephalale Young Killers at the Boyne Stadium.
