Administrators’ match ends in chaos

Mulima FC held Lamabani Giant Killers to 1-all draw in their MMK Administrators League match at the Lambani grounds on Sunday.

The game was equally contested, although Mulima had the upper hand in the first half. The players of Killers displayed their rough skills from the onset in a bid to frustrate their opponents. They did not get far with their wrongdoings, as the referee, Mr Freddy Mulaudzi, flashed two yellow cards in quick succession. The first player to go into the referee’s book was Fhumulani Maluleke, who tackled Sello Molewa from behind in the 17th minute. Ndivhoniswani Masebotja was also booked six minutes later. He obstructed Aifheli Sebe in the danger zone and for that reason he was lucky to escape with yellow.

Killers were very strong on the attack in the first half. The next player who went into the referee's book was Errol Ratombo of Mulima FC, who handled the ball intentionally.

The second half was characterised by wasted chances in the Mulima camp. Although Killers showed cohesion in all departments throughout the match, the performance of their striker, Mushe Nonyana, was outstanding. He was everywhere, giving support to both his midfielders and making sure that his danger area was always clean.

Killers scored via Ndivhoniswani Masebotja from a free kick and a few minutes later Rudzani Mashau of Killers was red-carded for a second bookable offence

Khumbudzo”Bara” Mukhumo of Mulima headed home in the 88th minute to equalize.

After the goal, the match was stopped for five minutes when players and officials went onto the pitch and accused the referee of favouritism. He was escorted from the pitch after the match by both teams’ officials.
