Zamenkomste FC hold Makhitha Oscar to a draw

The MMK Administrators League match between Zamenkomste FC and Makhitha Oscar Stars at Makhitha on Sunday ended in a 1-all draw.

Stars had an opportunity for a goal in the opening minutes, but Leavy Matshavha shot into the hands of the keeper, Mpho Khantshi. The local boys' misfortune continue in the ninth minute, when Laymond Muleya shot over the bar with only the keeper to beat.

Nthabiseng Makgopo of Stars was yellow-carded for a rough tackle a few minutes later and the keeper of Zamenkomste, Mpho Khansthi, was red-carded, when he denied an obvious scoring chance from Stars. Khansthi was replaced by Makhesani Mulingwe.

In the 12th minute, Lucky Funyufunyu´s well-timed shot missed the poles by a mere inch. Sydney Luvhengo of Stars dribbled past a number of defenders and scored in the 15th minute. Nditsheni ”Balo” Musekwa equalised after he received a square ball from Raymond Sinugo in the 38th minute. The score was still 1-1 when the referee blew the whistle for the break.

The second half was war from the onset. Zamenkomste started the half at a very fast pace, giving their opponents no moment to breathe. The local lads should have scored in the 60th minute, but their striker, Lenox Mabila, hesitated for too long and a defender of the opposition sent the ball out.

Stars should have scored in 78th minute, but Lucky Funyufunyu´s shot hit the crossbar and bounced back into the field of play. Makhesane Muligwe, the keeper of Zamenkomste, saved a sure goal from the boot of Ronewa Mpfumali at the end of the match.
