News: At a meeting of the Soutpansberg Ratepayers Association (SRPA) last week, the members of the association voted unanimously to continue withholding rates and taxes from the local municipality. This in spite of the threat of electricity cuts to members of the association by the municipality.

People have “nothing to fear” from planned mine

News: People from the areas surrounding the proposed coal mine development near the Mapungubwe Heritage Site have nothing to fear from this development. This was the message from the director of Coal of Africa Limited, the developer of the mine, at a meeting with members of the local chamber of commerce in Louis Trichardt.
