Who will win the Challenge?

 

The annual Mulindavhathu Soccer Challenge Tournament was officially launched during a ceremony at the Muzwali IT Solutions building last Thursday evening.

The first matches for the tournament were played at the Khubvi Benjies ground over the past weekend. Teams taking part in the annual event are: Tshibvumo Young Stars, Khubvi Peace Makers, Sambandou United Professionals, Ngwenani Manchester United, Mutale Vikings, Ficus FC, Mahagala Young Stars, Khubvi Feedas All Stars, Khubvi African Stars, Damani Powerlines, Thenzheni Liverpool, Musasenda Big Five, Tshilulu Mighty Mangoes, Phandulaluvalo FC, MT Green Mambas and Mutshini Masters.

The winners of the the competition will receive R3 000 and a soccer kit. The runners-up will receive R1 200 and a soccer kit, while the third-placed team will take home R1 000.

Last weekend's results are: Musasenda Big V 5, Thenzheni Liverpool 4; Phandulaluvalo 6, MT Green Mambas 1; Damani Powerlines 4, Tshilulu Mighty Mangoes 1; Khubvi African Stars 4, Mutshini Masters 0; Sambandou United Profesionals 2, Ngwenani Manchester United 0; Khubvi Peace Makers 4,  Mahagala Young Stars 2; Tshibvumo Young Stars 6, Ficus FC 5 and Mutale Vikings 4, Khubvi Feedas All Stars 1.

The quarterfinal matches will be played at the same venue tomorrow, while the semifinals and final will be staged on Sunday. Tomorrow’s fixtures are: Khubvi Peace Makers vs Damani Powerlines, Khubvi African Stars vs Musasenda Big V, Tshibvumo Young Stars vs Mutale Vikings and Phandulaluvalo FC vs Sambandou United Professionals.
