Tshikombani Stadium is expected to be packed to capacity next Thursday, June 16. That is where the annual Youth Day Soccer Tournament will be staged

According to the organizer of the tournament, Mr Rudzani Munzhedzi, four teams will take part in the one-day event. The teams are Nzhelele Young All Nations, Makhitha Oscar Stars, Vhulaudzi Fire Boys and The Rockers, or Tshifhire Northern Brothers, as they were formerly known.

Munzhedzi appealed to the participating teams to be at the stadium during the toss at 08:30, as the first semi-final is expected to start at 09:00. The second semi-final will follow at 11:00, while the final is scheduled to kick off at 15:00.

A match between Ellies Driving School employees and Venecia Mine Masters will slot in between 13:00 and 15:00.

The fact that it will be a winner-takes-all tournament is reason for the soccer fanatics to expect tense matches. The winner of the day will receive R1 200 and a floating trophy.
