The Louis Trichardt Soccer Academy will never forget last Sunday, as they were brutally walloped 4-1 by Madombidzha Celtic in a Limpopo Dairy League match played at Madombidzha.
Celtic dictated terms from the start, with their midfielders distributing dangerous passes to the frontrunners. A defender of Murunwa handled the ball inside his penalty area and the referee pointed to the white spot. Rendani Mulaudzi scored the easy penalty. Celtic's celebration was cut short when Muofhe Nevhulaudzi intercepted a short pass and beat the keeper to make the score 1-1 at half time.
Murunwa's dribbling wizard, Mathata Ratshilaye, played his heart out, but it was difficult for him to find his way through the rock-solid defence of Celtic, marshalled by Thabo Ramathlo, Sipho Mudalana and Mudzusi Sadiki. Murunwa came close to scoring in the 60th minute, when Thabelo Tshikweta went loose and unleashed a shot from close range. Fortunately for the hosts, their keeper, Masilo Mushukwa, palmed the ball away for a corner kick.
The home team increased the tally in the 68th minute, when Silas Rammbona scored easily. In the 74th minute, Tshilidzi Maumela left keeper Maduvha Mulaudzi flatfooted after receiving a neat pass from Stanley Mukhuba.
Maxwell Ramunenyiwa scored his team fourth goal in the 85th minute.
