The late Solomon Randima, who died recently are he was falsely reported dead.

Solomon Randima to be buried tomorrow

A man, who was reported dead when he was still alive two weeks ago, has finally died.

Solomon Randima, 40, of Khubvi village, outside Thohoyandou was reported dead by his sister, Rose Madida, two weeks ago, after he was admitted at Donald Frazer hospital.

He finally died last Wednesday and was buried on Saturday. The family became divided after the first announcement of his death, after it was established that Randima was not dead, but still alive at the hospital. The issue also divided the family more because funeral arrangements were already at an advanced stage while some of relatives and friends had already come back from their working places. An announcement was made on national radio that the ailing man was dead.

Chief Randima, a traditional leader of Khubvi, says the family is still baffled how Madida reported the death of her own brother while he was still alive. Randima’s nephew, Ndivhuwo Thandavhathu, says he is disappointed that he had to come from Johannesburg twice for the funeral of his uncle because of Madida’s false report.

Randima’s elder brother, Sathiel Randima, says he is still concerned why Madida announced the death of her brother while he was still alive and kicking.
