Second album for Snr Hadzhi FJ

A legend in the gospel music fraternity, Snr Hadzhi FJ, has just recorded his second full-length album, which is aptly entitled Kha ri gidimele Murenani.

The title urges people to repent and to focus on God in times of troubles, so that He can solve their problems. "I composed the songs for myself first, and then for all people whom my music would reach, so that they can receive the kind of blessings that are laden in the song messages," he said. "Music is the essence of life, and without music, some of us are unable to communicate our deepest feelings."

Snr Hadzhi FJ started singing in Sunday school at the age of seven. He honed his singing skills during school assemblies at Nyatema Primary School and Mathede Secondary School at Murunwa village.

"I continued to take music seriously and joined the Holy Evangelical Band, where I served as a keyboard player and music instructor," he said. "I had since won numerous certificates and trophies for my abilities as a musician."

Snr Hadzhi FJ had not given up his music as a calling and this was evident and fruitful when he finally released his debut album, Iwe Yehova, in 2018. "My music continues to receive massive airplay on some radio stations, and I am grateful for that," he said.

This musician is also a writer whose poetry had found its way into The White Dress, an anthology published in 1993. He went on to publish another poetry collection, The Voice of Africa, which speaks to the hearts of readers. He further published a devotional quote diary under the title Episode Craft
