HaaNdi YellowMah scores more milestones

The saying that humble beginnings and persistence bring about good results applies very well to HaaNdi YellowMah, who is currently indisputably the most potent exponent of the VenRap genre.

YellowMah, who was crowned Star of the Town (in SABC2's small-town Showville talent competition) some two years ago, has been releasing hit after hit, and his latest hit is Ari Tonge (https://youtu.be/Y6JXYJ4nmDE).

Ari Tonge calls for those youths who have been working hard towards realising their dreams to feel proud about their achievements,” he said. “We need to get up and dance to the good tunes of life. We also need to appreciate the little that life affords us, so that we may get more rewards from our hard work. Sure, a ri tonge!”

He has so far endeared himself to those who follow VenRap and understand the genre for what it is – a form of entertainment and youth culture.

On learning that his music had just started getting airplay on Chanel O, the young artist, who may soon be elevated to the status of VenRap king because of the popularity and innovation of his music, bit his lower lip and said: “I wish my mom was still alive, so that she could witness and enjoy seeing me climb this ladder of success and fame.”

This young artist believes that popularity is earned through hard work, for artists mostly work in the privacy that the studios offer them but get to shine in the open world. “I have just managed to take my music to another level,” he said.

HaaNdi YellowMah is available on Facebook and he can be reached on 065 554 9797.
