Eazy-T is climbing the ladder to the top

Twelve years ago, when he vowed that he would one day become the king of Afro-Pop, Hip-hop and Rap music, no-one believed him. Now, those who have good musical ears will concur that Takalani Duncan Madzivhandila, better known as Eazy T, is fast becoming a household name.

With the release of yet another hit single, entitled Broken Hearts, no doubt exists that the future looks bright for this 31-year-old musician from Tshisahulu-Itsani village near Thohoyandou. Broken Hearts is already making waves in the music industry and is enjoying rotational air play at various radio stations.

Eazy T is not a novice in the music industry. He cut his musical teeth in 2008 when he dropped his first extended-play album, entitled Life. The debut album was followed by Ro sendela in 2011, which also made a good impression in the music industry. As if that was not enough, he returned to the studio in 2012 and released a mixtape with a variety of local Venrap artists.

His biggest collaboration came in 2013 when he recorded his album, Tshanduko, at Masana Records, featuring reputable Venrap artists such as Mizo Phyll, Bellafonte, Bhamba, Venda Boy Poet and Dupa. His 2015 single Ri do tshila rothe, featuring Pitch Black Afro, earned extensive airplay on various television stations. The single also received a nomination in the best hit single category of the Tshivenda Music Awards (Tshima) the same year.

He dropped several hits between 2015 and 2019, which enjoyed massive airplay on both radio and television.

He says about his latest offering: “Broken Hearts has already started to shake the musical industry because it is more mature and differently arranged. I also featured prolific musician Bigropza to add a flavour of a different talent to impress my fans. Fortunately, it worked for me because everyone is now talking about the song.”

Eazy T, who studied civil engineering, has a message to aspiring musicians: “Seek education first, so that you may have something to depend on when your music career hits a snag.”

He is available on various social media platforms, including Facebook (Kingrap Eazy T), email ([email protected]), Instagram (kingrapeazy), Twitter (@KEazyt) and mobile number 072 544 8330 (voice calls and WhatsApp).
