If you want to prove that the apple does not fall far from the tree, just ask Tsiko and Vusani Murabi, daughters of famous Reggae legend Kenny Murabi.

After working with their father for more than 10 years as backing vocalists, the talented young ladies have left music critics’ mouths hanging open with the release of their thrilling eight-track Reggae album, titled The Inside. The album was received with high acclaim and fans are gleeful about the sweet voices and original instrumentation used that equals international standards.

The availability of the album at all major online digital stores has paved the way for its instant success, with daily downloads from true fanatics who understand what original Reggae is.

Overjoyed by the success of their debut album, Tsiko said: “The album has been out for just three weeks, and already we are getting compliments from Reggae lovers across the country. We live in the digital era now, and we can confirm that selling music online is the way to go. It was also a very good feeling to note that our album got airplay from different radio stations within the first week since its release. This clearly demonstrates that we are moving in the right direction in this tough music industry.”

Tsiko’s sentiments were echoed by Vusani, who gladly remarked: “We are very happy that people have instantly fallen in love with our music. Receiving a grand welcome into the entertainment industry has given us courage to work hard to enhance our great names in music. With the easing of the lockdown restrictions, we intend to host a live performance to officially launch the album.” She thanked her father, Kenny Murabi, the fans and everyone who contributed to the development of their music career.

The album was recorded at Adziambei Music Academy with highly esteemed musicians such as Steve Netshishivhe, Ananias Begwa, Nhlanhla Mphilo, Jayco and Buhle on instruments.

For public performances and CD hard-copy sales, the duo can be contacted on 079 379 2936 (Tsiko) or 062 795 4070 (Vusani). Both numbers are available for voice calls and WhatsApp.
