For several years, the popular contemporary a cappella gospel group, Faith of Our Fathers Quartet, were often relegated to the role of curtain raisers for other musicians. At larger events, their names were sometimes omitted from programme schedules, and their pictures were absent from promotional materials. However, this year marks a significant shift as they have become one of the star attractions at the Phalaphala FM Gospel Festival, which precedes the Royal Heritage Festival.

The four-member group, all members of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, will take the stage on 13 September at Agapé City in Vuwani. Mulisa Tshifaro, one of the group's members, expressed their excitement about the upcoming performance. “We have waited far too long for this day to arrive. This is our opportunity to shine and showcase what we can offer. We are so excited to have our name on the poster this time around. Even our church members are so happy, and they have promised to come in their numbers to support us, and we praise God for it,” he said.

Tshifaro mentioned that fans can look forward to live renditions of their most beloved songs. “We will be performing both old and new songs from our forthcoming album, set to be released soon. Come one, come all, and join us for a good night of praise and worship,” he added.

The group was formed in 2015 when four friends—Rembuluwani Ramugondo (bass), Orifha Raligidima (alto), Mashudu Mathoni (second tenor), and Mulisa Tshifaro (first tenor)—decided to combine their talents. Their first performance was at the birthday celebration of their chaplain, Mr. Thanyani Mahamba, on 10 May 2015.

They released their debut album, Thama Thama ndi Murena, in 2017, followed by a live CD and DVD in 2018, recorded at the Shayandima Worship House. Their third album, Naa ndi Vho Nnyi, was recorded in 2021.
