The Makhado police are investigating the death of three people in a gruesome vehicle accident during the early hours of Tuesday morning on the N1 south just outside Louis Trichardt.
A case of culpable homicide was opened after a truck travelling north collided head-on with a sedan at around 04:00 near the weighbridge. All three the occupants of this sedan died instantly. No one was injuredin the truck. The deceased are aged between 22 and 30 and are members of a Pretoria-based church.
“The process of their identification is still underway, but it was confirmed that one of the deceased is an international recording artist,” said provincial police spokesperson Col Moatshe Ngoepe. He added that the cause of the accidents was still unclear at that stage “…but the ongoing police investigations will tell,” said Ngoepe.
