Wayeni and Soccer Academy to fight for points

Sunday marks the long-waited MMK Administrator Stream F match when the current log leaders, Wayeni Sea Robbers, will meet the high-riding Mashamba Soccer Academy at Wayeni.

Academy is in the second position on goal difference. In this match, anything can happen because the two teams are on form.

According to the manager of Soccer Academy, Ms Mercy Rambau, her charges are more than ready for the match. She said that they did not want to miss this chance. She added that the players knew it was now a matter of do or die. She reiterated the fact that they were going to use the weekend's match as a stepping stone to the top of the log.

According to Wayeni Sea Robbers' manager, Mr Baldwin Baloyi, their aim is to win the league. He said a victory would be good enough to secure them a place in the coming play-offs.

The managing director of MML, Mr Muraga Makatu, said that his team was preparing for their league match against the current log leaders in Stream E, Makhitha Oscar Stars.

Makatu felt that they had not done enough to hurt the Tshitomboni boys. “We want them to feel the very same pain we felt when they beat us in the first round,” said Makatu. He further said that his players promised to rectify their previous mistakes.

The coach of Oscar Stars, Gwasda Nedzamba, asked soccer lovers around the Sinthumule/Kutama area to support the team and come in large numbers to the Kutama sports grounds on Sunday.

The current log leaders of stream A, United Artists, will rub shoulders with Makhovha All Stars in their league match on Sunday. Stream B log leaders Madritdas are expected to collect the maximum points when they host Phandulaluvalo FC.

Nweli Stone Breakers are expected to give their opponents, Rockers, the leaders in Stream C, a tough time.

Maelula United Brothers of Stream G will fight for league points with their neighbours, Phadzima KSP Young Stars, while Bale United will play against Masisi Young Stars and Musina United on Saturday and Sunday.
