Rabali Pull Together emerge as champions

Rabali Pull Together were recently crowned the new champions of the Taki’s Soccer Tournament when they beat Johannesburg Pull Together 1-0 in the final at the Rabali Stadium.

According to the organiser, Mr Taki Rabali, the players had trained hard to excel in their activities. He praised the committee, who managed the sport well, and encouraged community members to keep it up to produce soccer stars.

The chairperson of the organising committee, Mr Albert Malisha, appealed to businesspeople to get involved in promoting local activities. He emphasised during the ceremony the importance of education and said that sports people must not neglect their studies.

Rabali Pull Together went home with a new soccer kit, a trophy, gold medals and R15 000 cash. The runners-up, Johannesburg Pull Together, collected R8 000, new soccer kit and silver medals. The two teams beaten in the semi-finals, Tshituni Hot Spurs and Luvhalani Tshikuwi Stars, collected R4 000 each.
