Well-known Tshivenda Rhumba megastar Joseph Giyani Mbiza, aka Zozo, seized an opportunity during a live performance at Shakadza in Mutale to motivate the youth to be responsible.
The multi-award winning star, who has produced award- winning albums over the years, was performing during a function organised by the ANC in Mutale at the weekend.
He started playing songs from his former and new albums which had become very popular, such as Ele, Lufuno and others, much to the delight of his fans.
Midway through his performance, Zozo stopped and told his fans that he was concerned to see that there were young people who were consuming liquor and some were using drugs. "I can see that you are all happy and you love my music. I am still going to give you more good music, but I have a concern as I have noticed that some of you are holding beer bottles. If indeed you are drinking, please hide behind the bushes as it will give a wrong impression to the young ones," he said.
Zozo said even though he did not go far in terms of education, he had come to realize the importance of education and always encouraged the young ones to put education first.
