Ms Mikateko Millet Hlungwane (20) from Phalaborwa was crowned Miss Univen 2014 during a ceremony held at the University of Venda Auditorium two weeks ago.
She is a first-year Environmental Science student. A resident of Nkowankowa Township in Tzaneen, Nyeleti Mboweni, was crowned the first princess. The second princess is Ms Pearl Ramarumo. Mr Sedzani Ramabulana (22) from Nzhelele was crowned Mr Univen during the ceremony.
Ramabulana is a second-year student in the School of Health. Both Ramabulana and Hlungwane were each presented with a 74cm colour television set and tablet computer from Samsung, MTN hampers, groceries to the value of R1 200 from Thohoyandou Spar. Ramabulana and Hlungwane will also spend a weekend at the Polokwane Royal Hotel as part of their prizes.
