New hit album for Jah Rubza

A resident of Musina, Marubini Evans Mudau (35), recently released a new album, Masipala. He is popularly known as Jah Rubza and released several singles a few years ago.

He is a reggae musician and said that he was inspired by the music of Bob Marley and the likes of Colbert Mukwevho. The new album consists of 13 songs Masipala, Vhana vhashu, Ndo vhaisala, Tsheri adzongo luga, Foreigners, Duvha langa, Cellphone, Sigologolo, Condomise, Mhantsala murahu, Feeling free and the bonus track, Vhantsala murahu

It is selling very well, especially in Musina. He is very outspoken regarding the piracy of music, saying that piracy was killing their profits. 

“To be an artist is a job to us and we feed our families through music. People stop supporting piracy and buy the original CD and DVD to support artists in order for them to grow music in the industry.”

He usually promotes his new album by doing free shows at taverns and also by singing in front of shops in Musina. He also sings with his co-artists, DJ Godzilla and Jah Rocca. Jah Rubza is the the lead vocalist.
