A pharmacist and motivational speaker, Mr Nhlanhla Given Mafarafara, has written a book that many youths can identify with in this age when the youth need to rise up and make things happen.
The motivational book is entitled Relentless Youth - Reaching beyond the limits.
He asserts that the book will also teach readers to identify and deal with some of the limitations that stand in their way and try to prevent them from living out their full identity and potential.
According to Mafarafara, the book is written for all young people who have a desire to live beyond their limits, whether spiritual or natural. “It is an inspirational book that, when you read it, you will realise that you were not born an accident; you are a God-planned individual and exist on earth to fulfil a very special purpose,” he said. “That purpose is your assignment, which is linked to your God-given identity.”
He said that the youth were faced with many challenges which could also be seen as stumblng blocks, and that such might be family, friends, drugs and alcohol, failures, poverty, unemployment, sin, and wrong decisions.
“Having identified these and other limitations and challenges, you will also learn how to confront the brutality of life, stay focused, unyielding and determined to stand and stay above board even when failure seems inevitable,” he said. “Amidst all this, you will learn how to maintain a victor’s mentality at all times and live beyond anything that tries to limit you from becoming the best you can be.”
Youths, parents, teachers and those who are providing mentorship to young people will find this book helpful.
“It will equip them with skills and knowledge that will be essential to help other young people deal with their daily challenges and live victoriously,” he said.
“I wrote this book between February and November 2015. Since it was my first book, it was very difficult to put together, but I had good support from my wife, friends and my pastor throughout the process.”
This author had discovered his writing talent when he was doing Grade 9 but none of his earlier writing was published then. He currently writes inspirational articles on his personal blog: www.mafarafara.blogspot.com and on his facebook page: Relentless Youth SA.
Mafarafara was born and raised in Nkuzana village.
Tshifhiwa Given Mukwevho was born in 1984 in Madombidzha village, not far from Louis Trichardt in the Limpopo Province. After submitting articles for roughly a year for Limpopo Mirror's youth supplement, Makoya, he started writing for the main newspaper.
