Ambani (26) started by singing disco music and hip-hop in 2007. Her passion for music begun when she started singing at school and in church choirs. “Singing in these places ignited my passion for singing. It really motivated me, because I had an opportunity to express myself,” said Ambani.

She added that she was inspired to sing by many artists in the music industry. "I always knew that I could excell and be one of them," she added.

The love for music was in her DNA, she said, and according to her she used collect CDs and write her own music at an early age. "Hip-hop and house music are my cornerstone. I can write my own lyrics,” she said. She then visited a local recording studio and developed an interest to record her own album. Before the new single, she had released one album, Marry me.

She became popular when she was given opportunity by DJ Bujo Mujo to record the wedding song Marry me. It became a hit single and a local hit.
