National artists from different provinces were awarded for their creativity and excellence during the 22nd South African Music Awards (Sama) at the Durban International Convention Centre (ICC) on Saturday evening.

This time, no artist from the Vhembe area was fortunate enough to bring the coveted Sama award back home.

The winners in the different categories are:
