For the first time since the inception of the  Phalaphala FM Royal Heritage Festival in 2012, revellers in Limpopo will be treated to funky Maskandi vibes and an electrifying performance when Swi No Mtekhala take to the stage and dish out some of the hits that made them a household name.

The festival is in its fifth year and has become Limpopo's melting pot of cultures. It takes place at the Nandoni Royal Gardens tomorrow (Saturday).

The duo brought a revolution in the Maskandi music arena when they released their monster hit Ngafa, which made them instant celebrities and became like a national anthem, with no event complete without their music being played. They have since released 12 albums and the 13^th will be out around November 2016.

About their performance, group member Bongani Manyathi said they had perfected their act and they were ready to conquer Limpopo. "We are very humbled to be associated with the Phalaphala FM Royal Heritage Festival concept and we can promise our fans fireworks and we will make a lasting impression as we have done our part preparing for this show. We will give our fans the best live performance from our best albums like Ngafa, Wangisiza Baba and Ugogo Omdala, among others," he said.

One of the organisers of the show, Shandu Nesengani, said the line up was bigger than before, with showstoppers such as Thandiswa Mazwai, Nathi and African giant Alick Macheso among the top performers.

The full line-up includes Alick Macheso, Nathi, Thandiswa Mazwai, Sfiso Ncwane, Kwesta, Nasty C, Riky Rick , DJ Dimplez , VJ Nutty, Prifix, DJ Ganyani, Prince Kaybee, Heavy K, DJ Zinhle, DJ Malwela, Colbert Mukwevho, Benny Mayengani, Shwi No Mtekhala, Rofhiwa, David Mmbi, Kenny Bevhula, Lagugga Kanakana “Cook”, Zozo, Jones, Lufuno Dagada, Lufuno Buda and many more as well as a surprise act.
