The 2016 Satma award winner, Tshanduko Maano, known as Mazwale by her fans, has just released her third album (Vhuhadzi Ndi nama ya thole). This album features Chama girl from Botswana and has been received with enthusiasm by her supporters.

The album comprises eight melodious songs and, according to her, she is very happy about the latest release. She added that the album is already doing well commercially.

Mazwale is gaining great popularity among wedding music lovers because of her unique style, which consists of heavy bass sounds, some chopping sounds and occasional well-positioned brass notes. She hails from Lwamondo-Mapate and released her first album, Ndinne Uno, in 2014.

That album performed very well “and I wanted music lovers to enjoy every song to the utmost, before going back to the studio. Ndinne Uno was then followed by Usapfa hutunya mavhudzi, which was released in 2015. I was under pressure from my fans to release another album, hence the release of my third album, Vhuhadzi Ndi nama ya thole.” Besides the title track, the album boasts a sweet wedding song called Ahuna musadzi asanaki. The album is receiving massive airplay both on national and regional radio stations.

Last November and December she was invited to perform in Botswana, Namibia, Lesotho and Zimbabwe and also won the Satma award in the Tshivenda category in November.

She says since the release of her album a month ago, her diary has been full of bookings for performances as her fans want to see her unique musical talent live on stage. “I perform all my shows live and that is why people never get tired of watching me on stage. I do a lot of rehearsals to make sure that my fans get the same quality of music that they get from my CDs.”

Mazwale sounds gloomy and sad as she speaks about the "malignant poison of piracy". She is aware that pirates are selling her music at a mere R10 per MP3 collection. For CDs, public performances and bookings, she or her manager can be phoned 082 823 4139 or 082 833 3864.
