Ananias Bugana has just released his second gospel album, entitled Sacrificial Worship.

The album is packaged with incredible renditions such as A vha shanduki (God never changes), Thudzela (Cast all your curses to the Lord and He will answer you), You are the reason why I lift my hands, Your Grace, and Ri a vha losha.

The album was produced by Rofhiwa Manyaga and Victor Kgantlape of Goodfingers studio.

“I believe that music is a powerful tool which we can use to heal people,” he says. “It helps us understand that people have problems in life. We know that some people don’t want to talk about their problems and by listening to music they get to feel strengthened in the soul.”

Ananias asserts that music must not be a weapon of entertainment only but an avenue which brings hope to the hopeless and faith to the faithless.

A resident of Ha-Mavhunga village in the Nzhelele area, Ananias's passion for singing was realised very earlier on in his life. “I accepted the Lord as my personal Saviour in 1992 and since then I had become an anointed minister of worship used by God to heal and comfort souls.”

He describes himself as a worship minister, visionary, songwriter and singer who is passionate and eager to take God’s people back to the authentic biblical worship.

In 1997, Ananias became a principal member of the album recording U nyitela zwithu zwothe (He keeps on doing great things) for the musical group that was known as Lighthouse Worshipers.

In 2002 he moved to Johannesburg. He is currently an ordained leader and a worship minister in Rock Global Ministries. “I am a seasoned minister walking on true purpose,” he said.

His first album was entitled Nangwe ndila i na mipfa and was released in 2003. It was recorded at Face off Studio, which was run and managed by Prince Nyadzawela.

Ananias obtained a degree in agricultural sciences in 2004 from the University of Venda. In 2016 he graduated with a B-Tech degree in agricultural management from the University of South Africa. He is currently studying towards a masters degree in science.
