To organize and present this race takes up an enormous amount of time and money, as we do have many areas to cover, from providing 2 000 participants and more than 500 local workers with enough refreshments for three days and utilizing the best local medical and security services, to route preparing and keeping to our obligations with Cycling SA and keeping our liability insurance up to date.

For the residents of Witvlag, Waterpoort, Alldays, Vivo, Buysdorp, Thsikwarani and Makhado, this is surely one of the highlights of their year, as they contribute by supporting visitors from other provinces and countries. We can proudly state that you will not find a friendlier race in South Africa, and the whole community is thus responsible for giving us the ongoing status of “Best-Organised Race”.
