SINTHUMULE -

When Mirror's reporter visited the place, he found some of the families living in an old torn tent. Mrs Lydia Rametsi of Madombidzha who lives in a shack, said that she was shocked that people came to them at night and canvassed for their votes and "promised us a better life, while they have done absolutely nothing to ease our suffering."

The unemployed Mrs Anna Rasikhwela of Tshiozwi, who has been living in an old tent since 2000, said that she is tired of empty promises made by municipality workers, who came to asses the damage and promised that they would come back with good news. "Since that year, nobody has come back to me," she said.
