MOPANI – The police at Malamulele have opened a case of murder and an inquest docket, following an incident that took place at the Mulamula village near Malamulele last Saturday night.
According to the police spokesperson in the Mopani area, Capt Moatshe Ngoepe, the deceased's bodies were found inside the house the following morning.
According to the statement, the body of Mrs Mojaji Sophy Manganyi (55) was found lying in a pool of blood. There were visible stab wounds all over the body. There was a butcher's knife next to the body. The husband's body was found hanging from the rafters of the same house in which Mojaji's body was lying. The man was identified as Mkhaisi Thomas Manganyi (60). Although the police were still busy investigating the matter, they did not rule out the possibility that the incident could be related to family violence. They appealed to people with information regarding the incident to contact them at their local police stations.
