MOPANI – The police in Bolobedu are investigating a case of murder, following the death of a 35-year-old man. According to the spokespeson of the police in the Mopani area, Capt Moatshe Ngoepe, the deceased's body was found lying in the street on Tuesday morning.
The deceased was employed as a night security guard at a local shop and he was on duty during the night of the incident. According to the police statement, his body was found somewhere between his home and the shop where he was working.
There were some visible stab wounds on his body. No arrest had been made at the time of going to press and the police were still tracing his next of kin, as he was said to be a Mozambican.
In another incident, the body of Mrs Mamaropene Mogadi Kapa (68) was found in the Mawa Block 9 bushes in Bolobedu on Sunday morning.
According to the police statement, the deceased had been stoned to death. Her body was found lying inside a heap of stones. The motive of the killing was still not known at the time of going to press. The police arrested a 43-year-old man on Tuesday in connection with the incident. Meanwhile, their investigations are continuing.
