American actress Erin Bethea, who played in the film Fireproof, will visit Louis Trichardt. Erin will be the guest speaker at a women’s evening on Saturday, 12 May, at 18:00 at Agapé Chrisitan Centre in Munnik Street.
Fireproof is a USA Christian drama, released in 2008 by Samuel Goldwyn Films and Affirm Films. The film was a hit at the box office, becoming the highest-grossing independent film of 2008. In the film, firefighter Caleb (Kirk Cameron) accepts the challenge to rescue his marriage by winning his wife, Catherine (Erin Bethea) back through the Love Dare principles.
The Love Dare book followed, with more than 7 million copies in print. Love Dare is designed to enrich good marriages and save marriages that are falling apart. For 40 days the spouse who chooses to follow the Love Dare principles accepts a different dare each day, such as “Resolve to say nothing negative to your spouse at all”. The Love Dare book has since been used in many countries and cities, including Louis Trichardt.
Erin Bethea (29) also stars as Alicia in Facing the Giants, released in 2006, Heart of Christmas (2011) and Laughing at the Moon, still to be released. Bethea has been named as co-host for a new television series, OMX: On Mission Xtra, on the broadcast television network FamilyNet.
