Body of man found next to N1

LOUIS TRICHARDT – LOUIS TRICHARDT – Police are at present looking for people who might be able to identify the badly decomposed body of a man found next to the N1 on Friday, October 8.

According to Insp Daniel Ndlovu from the local SAPS, the black man's body was found by a construction worker some six kilometres from Louis Trichardt on the N1 to Musina. The worker noticed a pair of running shoes next to the road and upon investigation found the man's body. At the time of his death the man, said to be in his fifties, was wearing a blue coat, white shirt and black trousers. His body is at present at the government mortuary in Louis Trichardt and police suspect that he might have been murdered.

Insp Ndlovu urged members of the public to come forward if they are able to help identify the man or help the police with their investigation. Persons able to assist the police can phone either Insp Tambani or Insp Mthombeni at Tel (015) 519 4300.
