Makoya Multi Media to organise show

The Makhado Municipality has decided to appoint Makoya Multi Media to organise the annual Makhado Show. The decision follows months of uncertainty about whether the show would be held this year and who would be tasked with the responsibility to organise it.

According to Makoya’s managing director, Mr Vhahangwele Nicholas Netshifhefhe, his company would like to host a show that is inclusive in terms of race, religion and ethnicity. “We would like to uplift the economy of the town by engaging people from rural surrounding communities in terms of generating income through the show,” he said.

Netshifhefhe said that his company understood the dynamics of the local show and that they were not going to change much but transform it to fit in the 21st century. He said that the show would create a networking platform for aspiring entrepreneurs and would be a fun-filled event for the whole family this year.

“We would like to localize the event by giving priority to locals, ranging from artists to businessmen and -women and also use drawcards,” he said.

The show is to be hosted at the end of July at a date still to be announced.  “We will spice up the event with give-aways, traditional performances, international, national and local artists,” concluded Netshifhefhe.
