LOUIS TRICHARDT – Pam Shaw, daughter of one of the Soutpansberg's pioneers the late Bert Knott, passed away on October 8 after having been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in July this year. She was seventy years old.
Pemelia Knott was born on March 15, 1932 in Louis Trichardt and also spent her childhood here. She attended St Andrews Senior School in Johannesburg, after which she got married to Jack Shaw in 1954 and returned to Louis Trichardt. Amongst many other accomplishments she will be remembered for successfully running the Fig tree Nursery over the past eight years. A memorial service will be held for her at the Agapé Church in Munnik Street at 10:00 on Saturday, October 12.
The family expressed a word of thanks to all family and friends for the love, kindness and upliftment in prayer given to Pam during her illness. They especially thanked dr. Casper Venter for the compassionate care and support shown during her illness and for visiting Pam at home on a regular basis. The family also thanked sister Anita Venter and Jackie Knell for their kindness and assistance, especially during the last few hours of Pam's life, as well as John the hairdresser for doing Pam's hair weekly at home.
