NZHELELE – A court interdict was issued to stop the installation of a new chief at the Funyufunyu village last Saturday.
The guests at the event were not aware of the internal conflicts within the Funyufunyu Royal Kraal and were confused when the family representative, Mr Simon Ramovha notified them at the premises of the Royal Council, that the ceremony was postponed to October 24, 2002.
Villagers were begged to stay for a luncheon, because three cattle had already been slaughtered to provide food for the guests.
It was stated to Mirror that since Chief William Funyufunyu passed away two years ago, there was no peace in the royal family. A spokesperson said that there was division in the royal kraal.
