Another award for Businesswoman of the Year

KHUMBE – Apart from the awards that she received in honour of her selection as the 2002 Shoprite Checkers Businesswoman of the year, the managing director of Khumbe Poultry Farm, Ms Fhatuwani Ramabulana, was awarded another special award during a ceremony that was held at her business premises last Wednesday evening.

This time the award came from the football club that is being sponsored by her company, Mathule Manchester United. During the ceremony a representative from the club, Mr Nditamani Ganyane handed over a congratulatory certificate to Ms Ramabulana. Mr Ganyane is the assistant coach of the team.

During the ceremony the secretary of the club, Mr Watson Mukwevho, stated that they have learnt with great pleasure that their sponsor is the recipient of the 2002 Shoprite Checkers Businesswoman of the year award.

He stated that as a club they felt duty bound to do something for her as a token of appreciation for a job well done. "As our sponsor, you have made our club proud, you have put our village, our region and the entire province on the map. You have pioneered the road of winning the national award in our area," reads an extract from the speech that was delivered by Mukwevho.

During an interview with Ms Ramabulana, she stated that her business was established way back in 1985. She revealed that she is now a proud employer of 55 people. According to her the company produces an average of 78 000 eggs per day.
