The SA Post Office would like to remind its customers to renew their subscription for post boxes and private bags.

If payment is not by made 31 January 2013, post boxes will unfortunately be locked. This will lead to a penalty of R20 for late renewal.

The cost of renewal is a nominal fee of R304 per year, which ensures complete security and privacy.  If a new post box is being rented, then a key deposit of R30 will be required. This will be refunded when the keys are returned.

“Post boxes offer peace of mind because mail is kept safe and sound until you are ready to collect it,” says Mr Dries Rossouw, manager at the Louis Trichardt post office.

Post boxes are particularly useful to people who receive sensitive or private items in the mail.
