MUSINA - The Musina Community Radio initiative was launched on Saturday during a gala dinner at the Musina show grounds.
According to the chairperson of the interim committee, Mr David Mokobi, the Musina Community Radio will start working on December 1. The mission of the project is to operate a vibrant community radio that will act as a platform "from which the wishes and aspirations of the community of the Greater Musina shall be freely expressed and also to act as a source of education and information to the broader community of Musina," Mokobi said.
Mokobi thanked Phala Phala FM, Morokoroko Communications & Event Management, the Musina Municipality and the National Community Radio Initiative for their assistance in the preparation of the application.
"We are going to use people from Musina to work for their people and some of the people are still receiving training as presenters, newsreaders, marketers and technicians. The municipality gave us the stand that the radio station offices will be built on," said Mokobi
