Lots of prizes for Miss Black Leopards

THOHOYANDOU – The Thohoyandou Town Hall will be the centre of attention tomorrow evening. That is where the Miss Black Leopards 2002 beauty contest will be staged.

The final eliminations for the contest were held at the club's offices in Shayandima last Saturday.

According to one of the organisers of the contest, Mrs Gayley Mabirimisa, the queen will go home with a bedroom suit and a fabulous cash prize. A colour television set and cash are awaiting the first princess. The girl who will be chosen as the second princess will take home a mini hi-fi and a lucrative cash prize.

According to the organisers, the number of prizes is likely to increase as they were still waiting for more sponsors at the time of going to press. Mrs Mabirimisa stated that every contestant would be a winner in the contest saying all the remaining contestants would each receive a consolation prize of hair products and kitchen utensils.

The South African Bottling Company, Phadziri Bus Company, Enos Bus Company, Bradlows Furniture Store and OK Furniture Store have sponsored the contest. The members of the organising committee are Busi Khumalo, Yvonne Mudau, Mphodo Ramunenyiwa, Gayley Mabirimisa and Salome Ramabulana.

The new Miss Black Leopards will represent the club during the annual Miss Premier Soccer League (PSL) Beauty Contest that will be held in Johannesburg later in the year.

The contest will start at 19:00.
