MAKHADO – A high-level government trade delegation from China visited the region this week to investigate local investment possibilities and to establish contact with potential local trade partners.

The delegation from the Liaoning Provincial Sub-Council of the Chinese Chamber of International Trade visited the region as guests of the local municipal council.

During several separate work sessions, the international trade delegation met with local representatives of the agricultural, commercial and industrial fraternity. The delegation investigated local investment potential, mutual trade possibilities with potential local trading partners, as well as the possibility of the local manufacturing of Chinese products through joint ventures.

The local community was furnished with particulars of numerous Chinese concerns from the Liaoning Province, who are interested either in local manufacturing or distributing agents or trade partners. Their business activities encompass a formidable variety of manufactured goods and produce.

The leader of the delegation, Mr Sun Xianquan, Secretary-General of the CCPIT Liaoning Sub-Council, thanked the Makhado Municipality for the hospitality bestowed upon his delegates and invited all concerned to an international trade conference and expo, which will be held in September. Some 194 different projects for investment or co-operation will be exhibited at the show.
