In their Sasol Women’s League match at the Makwarela Stadium on Saturday afternoon, the Chippas Ladies were  too strongby far for the University of Limpopo, whom  they brutally walloped 6-1.

As if they were hypnotized, the visitors from Polokwane looked hopeless from the onset. It was not surprising when they conceded a goal three minutes into the game. Tshililo Nematandani was on target, following a pre-cooked pass from Puo Mudimeli.

The students continued to play defensive football, despite the fact that they were trailing. It was Chippas’ slender striker, Tshililo Nematandani, who did it again. She beat the offside trap and unleashed a powerful volley from inside the box. The students' keeper, Olga Mthimkulu, watched helplessly as the ball hit the back of the net.

Chippas enjoyed possession of the ball in all departments. Mokgadi Senyolo scored the third for Chippas in the 26th minute. Nthabiseng Matswi of Chippas was reprimanded with a card for dangerous play on Confidence Rakoma. Matswenyeho Mamaila scored the fourth in the 29th minute The only goal for the University of Limpopo came in the 39th minute. Nkwagase Nnanye forced her way through the defence of Chippas and beat the keeper with a ground cutter.

Matswenyeho Mamaila of Chippas was lucky not to see red when she tackled Akani Mabasa from behind in the 54th minute. Mamaila scored the fifth nine minutes later. The sixth was scored by Gladys Nephalama towards the end of the game.
