Peace Makers and Chiefs in photo finish

THOHOYANDOU – The struggle for promotion is still tough in the Super Division of the Postnet and Telnet League. Tswinga Peace Makers and Itsani Double Chiefs are in a photo finish. They are tied with 57 points each after playing 30 matches.

Mapate United Stars can easily turn the tables. They have 55 points in hand. Their advantage is that they have played two matches fewer than the top two teams. Ngwenani Young Chiefs are also in the race for promotion. Young Chiefs have played 27 matches from which they managed to accumulate 53 points.

The two teams that are likely to finish the league programme at the bottom of the log are Lwamondo United Brothers, alias Baboon, and Tshikhudini Chibuku. Manamani Football Club are shining at the top of Stream B of the Postnet and Telnet League.

They have 52 points in hand. Shayandima Inter Roses are four points behind them. Inter Roses have a good chance to bridge the gap as they have played three matches fewer than Manamani Football Club. Magidi Greenside Callies are down on the log.

The other relegation candidates are Dzindi Young Fighters and Phiphidi Waterfalls. Stream A is under the leadership of Khakhanwa United Stars. They have 34 points in their league account after playing 14 matches. Dzingahe Peace Makers are at the bottom of the ladder with 6 points.
