The Best Circle in South Africa Award goes annually to the circle that exhibits the outstanding qualities demanded by their organisation, both nationally and internationally, viz. friendship and service.

The trophy received for the best executed fundraiser in South Africa on February 11, Ladies Circle International Day, was well deserved by Ladies Circle 4 with their "Ransom Headmaster" project which was featured on the front page of the Zoutpansberger. Quite a stir was created in the various schools when some members of staff were 'kidnapped'.

The international theme of Ladies Circle this year is Make the Difference.

"I believe that Circle 4 has made a difference and we will continue to do just that by supporting underprivileged children and victims of violent crime," said Sandy van Niekerk, Chairperson of Circle 4.
