NZHELELE - A 23-year-old woman lost a piece of her ear during a fistfight with a Zimbabwean woman at Shanzha village, Nzhelele, last Thursday.
According to Insp Rufus Nenzhelele, Cynthia Ndlovu, a Zimbabwean and Suzan Mabiya (23) from Shanzha Village in the Nzhelele area, were involved in a fight after Ndlovu allegedly stated that Mabiya was a spy for the police.
"This came after the anti-dagga police squad from Siloam SAPS searched for dagga at Ndlovu's home last Wednesday," said Insp Nenzhelele.
It is alleged that Ndlovu suspected that Mabiya was the one who had called the police to search for dagga at her home. A fistfight broke out and Mabiya was hospitalised after her left ear was bitten-off.
Ndlovu was arrested and appeared in the Thohoyandou Magistrate Court last Friday. The case was postponed to June 20, and no bail was granted.
