Four people have been arrested by the Mutale police in connection with public violence.
Mutale police spokesperson W/O Tshilidzi Nyambeni said that Adam Livhebe (36), Rudzani Malowa (56) and Robert Nemasiwana (47) appeared in the Thohoyandou Magistrate’s Court on Monday. “The three suspects, together with a 27-year-old suspect, all from Matangari village, were arrested on Saturday. They were allegedly blocking the main road from Makonde to Matangari. They allegedly also damaged the main gate to Ms Sarah Letsoalo’s home and four windows of her house,” said Nyambeni.
According to Nyambeni, the suspects, together with other community members, embarked on public violence while demanding the arrest of Letsoalo, whom they were accusing of killing her late employee, Tshinakaho Khorommbi.
Livhebe, Malowa and Nemasiwana were released on R1 000 bail each. Their case was postponed to 6 September.
